Why Pokemon Go! Is Ruining My Life

Since the day I downloaded Pokemon Go!, my days have turned into an intense mythical adventure, in which I am constantly on the lookout for these magical creatures I know nothing about. Unlike many other people my age, I never actually played Pokemon when I was younger. Despite this, when I was around 6 or 7 years old, myself, my sister and our two friends turned their family shed at the bottom of the garden into a 'Pokemon Hotel'. If anyone ever asked me why we did this I would not be able to give them an answer, but to this day when I visit that house, there she is, The Pokemon Hotel, sitting engulfed in bushes behind the pond.

Not knowing which Pokemon were better than others, I just started collecting whatever I could, going out in the middle of the night whatever the weather, driving under 20 miles an hour so the app thought I was walking but covering more ground to make my eggs hatch faster. I've even been trying to find the perfect cap to wear on my hunts to make me feel like a real Pokemon trainer

I've happened to have some luck in my short time Pokemon hunting though, as I somehow managed to catch three Eevees in one day. I would say to anyone that prefers to go hunting in the car so they're able to cover more ground, its always better to go late at night so less cars are on the road. This helps avoid angering other drivers by traveling at 20mph on a national speed limit country lane and abruptly stopping in the middle of the road to catch that pesky Vulpix hiding in the bushes.

Today, instead of packing to move back to London, I sat in my house using lures to guide Pokemon my way and actually caught 15 Drowzees and a Jynx. I feel like I have officially become a slave to the game and having only caught three Magikarp and needing 400 candies to evolve them, one of my biggest stress at the moment is that I may never get to hit that evolve button and unleash the beast.

Hopefully the hype will simmer soon and I can get back to my life and be an actual human again, and maybe even save my iPhone battery.
